Even though his poetry continues to create magic across the country, the veteran writer Javed Akhtar is searching ahead for a new part in a forthcoming film. Javed Akhtar will be a narrator in Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s film Bareilly Ki Barfi.

Speaking about this, Ashwiny who was on a lookout for a person with an understanding of the language and expressions but narrate the plot with a tinge of humour was far more than satisfied to have Javed Akhtar on board. She disclosed that even however it is just a voiceover, he is a crucial character in the film.  Even further elaborating on the thought and the part performed by the narrator, the filmmaker talked about that he is 1 of the neighbours who have witnessed the appealing life journey of the Mishra family members.

Audience may be mindful that Bareilly Ki Barfi is set on the backdrop of a smaller city in UP and contemplating the near proximity of the houses in these spots, most of the neighbors are mindful of all the happenings in just about every other’s house. Keeping this place in mind, Ashwiny made the decision to have Javed Akhtar as the narrator in the film.

It seems that it was the producer of the film, BR Chopra’s grandson Kapil aka Juno Chopra who originally approached Javed Akhtar for the part and was instrumental in generating him a aspect of the film. Preserving how life has appear a full circle, Juno reminisced about how Javed Akhtar assisted his father Ravi Chopra whilst he was directing Baghban to pen the finale of the film and even now Juno is thrilled to have Javed Akhtar in his film as a narrator.

Starring Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao in primary roles, Bareilly Ki Barfi, manufactured by Junglee Images in affiliation with BR Chopra generation, is an adaptation of the French novel ‘The Ingredients of Love’. It is slated to launch on August 18.
