Will always try to take people’s opinion: CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi

Observed lyricist and advertisement expert Prasoon Joshi, who has changed Pahlaj Nihalani as the Chairperson of the Central Board of Movie Certification (CBFC), feels “content” for the responsibility given to him and suggests he will generally try to maintain people’s belief in mind whilst certifying movies.

“I am content that the film business has anticipations from me. I have respect for the business. I will generally try to choose belief of people today, who have right and positive pondering due to the fact this is incredibly new to me,” Joshi mentioned here late on Friday evening.

Vidya Balan, Gautami Tadimalla, Narendra Kohli, Naresh Chandra Lal, Neil Herbert Nongkynrih, Vivek Agnihotri, Waman Kendre, T.S. Nagabharana, Ramesh Patange, Vani Tripati Tikoo, Jeevitha Rajasekhar and Mihir Bhuta have also been appointed as part of the reconstituted CBFC.

Joshi is known for his contribution to movies like “Black”, “Taare Zameen Par”, “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag”, “Rang De Basanti”, “Delhi-6” and “Neerja” and for designing thriving advertisement strategies.

Honoured with Padma Shri, the National Award winner penned the theme tune for Key Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and other strategies.
