Hacksaw Ridge is the amazing true tale of WWII medic Desmond Doss, performed by Andrew Garfield (The Astounding Spiderman), who miraculously saved 75 guys in a make any difference of hrs without having firing or carrying a gun.
He was the only American soldier in WWII to fight on the entrance lines without having a weapon, other than the uncomplicated prayer he uttered prior to he one-handedly evacuated the wounded from behind enemy lines, below frequent enemy gunfire and artillery bombardment.
Doss’ braveness and religion won the admiration of his commanders and fellow troopers, as he saved the life of the incredibly guys who experienced persecuted him for refusing to have a gun. He believed the war was just, but to get rid of below any circumstance was erroneous.
Doss was labeled the initially conscientious objector (he referred to as himself a “conscientious cooperator” as he volunteered) to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor.
Directed by Mel Gibson (Braveheart, The Enthusiasm of the Christ) and written by Randall Wallace (Braveheart, Heaven Is For Serious), Hacksaw Ridge also stars Sam Worthington, Luke Bracey, Teresa Palmer, Hugo Weaving, Rachel Griffiths, and Vince Vaughn.
Hacksaw Ridge has not however been rated, but will possible receive a R rating. It is coming to theaters nationwide on November 4, 2016.
